Yoco is the card machine (point of sale) many South African businesses swipe their sales through. Connecting it to stub means stub pulls every card sale into your books automatically — no capturing at the end of the day, no retyping slips. That's the stub way: let the apps do the typing.
If your evening cashup ends with typing the day's sales into your books — or the slips pile up for month end — this connection removes that job entirely. Connecting an app needs a premium plan.
Connect Yoco
- Go to Settings → Apps and click the Yoco card in the catalogue.
- The panel shows what the app does, the Permissions it needs and the Categories it will post to — worth a read before you commit.
- Click Connect, then sign in to Yoco and authorise the connection.
What the Categories list tells you
Before you connect, the app's page lists the accounts it will use — where your sales land, where fees are booked. This is set by the app, not by you, so read it before connecting and you will know exactly what will appear in your books.
If you want those amounts to land somewhere else, rename or reorganise the accounts under Settings → Finance → Chart of Accounts.
Check it is working
Go to Settings → Apps and switch to the Manage view — it lists every connected app with its status:
- Active — running normally.
- Requires set up — the connection isn't finished yet; open the app to complete it.
- Requires update — Yoco needs a fresh authorisation; open the app and follow the prompt.
- Not active — the app is switched off.
- Error — something went wrong; open the app for detail.
Apps that support it also show a Sync button in this list, to pull the latest data on demand.
Manage or disconnect
Click Yoco in the same Manage view. From there, Enabled and Disabled pause or resume the connection, you can adjust any settings the app defines, and Remove app disconnects it.
Match your payouts
Yoco pays out the net amount after fees. When the payout lands in your bank, categorise it against the sales it covers. See Categorise bank transactions.
